Abstract
摘要 |
The frequency band between LISA and LIGO should be seen as a rich opportunity in GW astrophysics. Sources in this band can yield information about the BWD progenitors of Type 1a supernovae, pre-merger physics of neutron stars, and unprecedented localization of binary black holes - leading to a novel probe of the cosmography of the universe. A 100km baseline space interferometer utilizing lessons learned in ground-based GW detection can open up the 0.01-10 Hz frequency band. Here we will present some estimates of astrophysical outputs and instrumental challenges of such a mission. |
