Abstract

The SYK (Sachdev-Ye-Kitaev) model has recently gained popularity due to its relevance to modeling AdS/CFT correspondence and to understanding quantum chaos. In this talk I’ll review some statistical aspects of this model, and point out an interesting connection between the SYK model and a type of graph enumeration problem in mathematics.
