Hadronic τ decays constitute an advantageous laboratory to access the non-perturbative regime of QCD i.e. they are useful to understand the hadronization of QCD currents, to study form factors and to extract physical resonance parameters. In the first part of the talk we will analyze the τ − → K− η(‘) ντ and τ− → KS π− ντ decays in the framework of Resonance Chiral Theory supplemented by dispersion relations. From the experimental data analysis, relevant information concerning the the exchanged K∗(892) and K∗(1410) resonances is extracted. In the second part of the talk we will examine the rare τ− → π− η(’) ντ decays. These procceses occur via isospin violation and belong to the so-called second-class currents unseen in Nature so far. Our study is focused on the construction of the participant form factors to predict both the corresponding decay spectra and branching ratio in view of the upcoming experimental facilities. |
