Abstract

摘要

In this talk I will discuss the potential of Gravitational Wave Astronomy for detections from both the ground, and in particular from future space observatories, such as the planned LISA mission. I will focus on the capture of small compact objects by supermassive black holes. With these captures we will test gravity in the strong regime, because they allow us to do relativistic geodesy - They are unique event horizon probes.
