Abstract

One of the outstanding problems in physics is to understand the structure of atomic nuclei microscopically. In the last 20 years significant progress has been made in our understanding of how to solve this problem. One of these approaches is the No Core Shell Model, which treats all A nucleons in a nucleus as being active. The formulation of the No Core Shell Model technique will be given and then applied to light nuclei. Applications to other properties besides ground state and excited state energies will be discussed. |
