To study extremely unstable nuclei, the theoretical approach need properly consider the continuum, both in drip-line nuclei and highly excited compound nuclei. To achieve this, the coordinate space Hartree-Fock-Bogoliubov approach is a suitable tool for deformed systems, from 2D to 3D, by taking advantages of supercomputing and novel mathematics. Furthermore, their dynamics can be studied by the continuum QRPA approach with the iteratively solving method in large coordinate spaces which was a great computationally challenge. |
