Abstract

摘要

Near barrier reaction mechanisms involving weakly bound nuclei, both stable and radioactive, have been investigated, both experimentally and theoretically in the last years. In addition to the usual reaction mechanisms that can occur with tightly bound nuclei, several others may occur when at least one of the colliding nuclei breaks up. These mechanisms strongly couple with each other and the breakup populate states in the continuum, making this field very interesting and leading to the need of very sophisticated experiments and theoretical models and calculations. In this talk I will try to summarize the main results obtained in this field and give a state of art of it, discussing some systematic results, some experimental and theoretical challenges and the main open aspects in the field. Particular attention will be given to the recently observed breakup reactions following direct transfer, the effect of the breakup on the complete fusion cross sections and the important interference between the nuclear and Coulomb components of the breakup process.
