The last three decades have seen a regular interest in explaining consistently the properties of nuclear matter, finite nuclei and nuclear reactions (nucleon-nucleon, nucleon-nucleus and nucleus-nucleus) with an effective interaction that has the efficiency to describe the two-body-interacting systems accurately. In this context, the study of nuclear properties from finite nuclei to highly isospin asymmetric nuclear matter in a given model is a promising area of current interests. I will discuss the mean field properties and equation of state for asymmetric nuclear matter using simple effective interaction, which has a single finite-range Gaussian term. I will discuss some of my recent works based on effective relativistic and non-relativistic interactions. Finally, I will conclude my discussion with few interesting predictions and remarks. |
