Two types of forces are suggested to contribute to the positioning process: (i) microtubule-growth based pushing forces; and (ii) motor protein mediated pulling forces. In this talk, I will first give a brief overview of three different positioning mechanisms in different organisms. Then I will focus on two of them: cortical pushing and cortical pulling models. How these different types of forces position the microtubule organizing center to the geometrical center in a confined space will be the central question we attempt to answer with these models. | Contact 所内联系人 | 欧阳钟灿 |
