In the perturbative QCD predictions on the cross section and various observables, IR divergence arises in both virtual and real contributions. For the hadron-hadron collision there is also mass factorization or PDF renormalization. In the past, much effort has been made to construct the IR regularization for the NLO predictions. However, recent years investigations on the NNLO predictions for complicated processes shows that the situation is worse than imagined. In this talk we will briefly review the history and status of IR regularization algorithms, which may or may not be used for NNLO predictions.
