We investigate exact solution in higher dimensional generalized Vaidya model for a null fluid source with pressure and density are related by the following relations (i) barotropic fluid with linear equation of state, (ii) variable modified Chaplygin and (iii) polytropic fluid. We study the nature of singularity (naked singularity or black hole) in gravitational collapse for the above equations of states and also for different choices of the parameters. The existence of naked singularity in Vaidya space-time is investigated by studying radial null geodesics emerging from the singularity. It is found that the nature of singularity is independent of these choices of different equation of states except for variable Chaplygin model. Finally, we also investigate the matching conditions of Vaidya model with interior Szekeres space-time. |
