Abstract 摘要 |
In this work, we construct an evolution equation for the energy profile within the light-quark and gluon jets in the framework of QCD resummation. The solutions show agreement with Tevatron and LHC data. We also construct an evolution equation for the jet invariant mass distribution within the light-particle jets in the similar framework. By including non-perturbative contribution that describes non-perturbative QCD effect (underlying events and hadronization), the solutions cure the divergence for small jet mass in fixed order calculation and agree with Tevatron CDF data in intermediate jet mass region. The predicted peak positions and heights in jet mass distribution are very close to CDF data.
