Abstract
摘要

Ideas from string theory, black holes and quantum gravity have fundamentally changed our ideas about the geometry of space and time. From this point of view, geometry emerges as a limiting description of complex quantum systems. These ideas also have led to several breakthroughs in pure mathematics.
