Conference Hall 322, ITP/理论物理所322报告厅 Abstract : I will talk about the progress made in recent years on flexible electronics, starting from early attempts of fabricating flexible displays to the current progress made towards high performance flexible electronic systems, including some of the latest developments. Flexible electronics is not just a simple switch from conventional rigid substrates to flexible ones and silicon to organic materials. In fact, it reflects a huge advance in how modern electronics could be used and developed, i.e. we can do to manufacture them in a low cost and eco-friendly manner. From building wearable to object wearable and finally human wearable electronics, there will be plenty opportunities to enhance people’s everyday life in a modern society. At the same time, the low cost fabrication process and low energy consumption associated with the development of flexible electronics will not only help us to protect our environment for a sustainable future but also give us the means to help the people in need. #@#@
