Dr. Dong-Sheng Wang graduated from Shandong University with Bachalor degree of Physics
2011
Obtained Master degreefrom Institute of Atomic and Molecular Physics at the same university with Prof. Yujun Zheng. His master thesis is "Quantum Coherence and Photon Statistics in Single Quantum System."
2011 - 2015
He studied with Prof. Barry C. Sanders for PhD degree, who was the chair of Institute for Quantum Science and Technology at University of Calgary in Canada. His PhD thesis is "Algorithmic Quantum Channel Simulation."
2015 - 2018
He did postdoc research with Prof. Robert Raussendorf and Prof. Ian Affleck at Quantum Matter Institute of University of British Columbia on measurement-based and/or topological quantum computing etc.
2018 - 2020
He did postdoc research with Prof. Ray Laflamme, who was the chair of Institute for Quantum Computing of University of Waterloo on quantum error correction and fault tolerant quantum computing etc. He has visited Perimeter Institute, Dahlem Center for Complex Quantum Systems at Free University of Berlin (group of Jens Eisert), Institute of Fundamental and Frontier Science of UeSTC, Institute of Advanced Technology of USTC, etc.
Research
Dr. Wang's research mainly covers universal models for quantum computing, error correction, topological qubits and phases of matter, quantum channel, quantum simulation, quantum control, and quantum foundation etc. Please see https://wdscultan.github.io/ and Google Scholar page.
