Panagiotis Kotetes won the APS Outstanding Referee Award

Recently, Panagiotis Kotetes from ITP-CAS was selected by the American Physical Society (APS) as one of the 156 Outstanding Referees for 2024. The highly selective APS Outstanding Referee program was instituted in 2008 to recognize scientists who have been exceptionally helpful in assessing manuscripts for publication in the Physical Review journals.

 

Panagiotis Kotetes, currently an Associate Professor, received his Ph.D. in Physics at the National Technical University of Athens, and then engaged in postdoctoral research at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology and the Niels Bohr Institute. Since 2019 he has been working at ITP-CAS. His research interests include the study of topological phases of matter, unconventional superconductivity and magnetism, the design of quantum materials and hybrid devices, and the development of quantum information protocols based on anyons. He was recognized as the Outstanding Reviewer for Journal of Physics: Condensed Matter in 2022.
