The Second Academic Committee Meeting Held in 2023

On December 18th, the second academic committee meeting of 2023 was held in the Institute of Theoretical Physics (ITP), CAS.
At the meeting, two senior professors and eleven junior professors from home and abroad were selected as the Peng Huanwu visiting professors to be sponsored to visit the ITP in 2024. These visiting professors will join relevant scientific research teams in the ITP for one to three months to carry out long-term cooperative research.
Over the years, the ITP has regularly hosted national academic conferences in various disciplines, such as the New Physics Symposium, the National Conference on Statistical Physics and Complex Systems, and the Symposium on Gravity and Cosmology. The committee members suggested that these conferences should be named the Key Laboratory of the Frontier in Theoretical Physics to further exert the academic influence of the ITP. The 5th Peng Huanwu Theoretical Physics and Interdisciplinary Young Scientists Forum was decided to be hold in late January, 2024.
The committee members also conducted in-depth discussions on the organization of research projects.
