The Academic Committee Meeting of the CAS Key Laboratory of Theoretical Physics held
On June 2nd, 2023, the Academic Committee meeting of the CAS Key Laboratory of Theoretical Physics (CAS-KLTP) was held in Beijing.
Rong-Gen Cai, director of the Institute of Theoretical Physics (ITP), CAS, delivered a welcome speech. Shan-Gui Zhou, deputy director of the ITP, introduced the status of the CAS-KLTP, including discipline layout, talent introduction, team building, highlights of scientific research achievements and problems faced in future development.
The Committee highly appreciated that the ITP has maintained a good development momentum in recent years, and suggested further expanding the interdisciplinary fields of theoretical physics, strengthening research and playing a crucial role in fields such as artificial intelligence and biophysics. The committee also put forward suggestions on the scientific research organization model, talent introduction and training, etc.
