On January 4 and 5, 2023, Bureau of Frontier Sciences and Education, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), held the acceptance meetings of the Key Research Program of Frontier Sciences undertaken by the Institute of Theoretical Physics (ITP), CAS. The meetings were chaired by Shangui Zhou, Deputy Director of the ITP.

From 2016 to 2017, Bureau of Frontier Sciences and Education, CAS launched the Key Research Program of Frontier Sciences, providing as stable support to breakthrough and innovative ideas in the field of basic frontier sciences that may impact the world-class or even the world's top level. A total of 11 outstanding talents or teams from the ITP were selected and supported by the program. During the five-year implementation period, these projects completed the research tasks specified in the mission statements and achieved the expected objectives in producing important achievements, promoting cutting-edge research and cultivating talented teams, thus passed the final acceptance successfully.
