The Institute of Theoretical Physics at Chinese Academy of Sciences (ITP-CAS) in Beijing have several faculty position openings on theoretical physics with active research interests in emerging fields and the following existing research areas: (1) Particle Physics and Cosmology; (2) String Theory and Field Theory; (3) Gravitational Theory and Astrophysics; (4) Condensed Matter Physics; (5) Theoretical Biophysics and Bioinformatics; (6) Quantum Physics and Quantum Information; (7) Simulation and computational physics. Depending upon the qualification of the successful applicants, the positions can be filled at the tenured associate and full professor, tenure track associate professor level, and also with the long-term positions as an associate scientist, a junior/senior scientist and a research fellow.

The successful candidates are expected to initiate independent and creative research programs, to develop new interdisciplinary directions and to play an active role in coordinating the worldwide research programs at the newly established Kavli Institute for Theoretical Physic China (http://www.KITPC.ac.cn).
