2d CFT Non-equilibrium Phenomena on Curved Background

11/10 2025 Seminar
  • Title 2d CFT Non-equilibrium Phenomena on Curved Background
  • Speaker Masahiro Nozaki (KITS)
  • Date 10:00 AM, Nov. 10, 2025
  • Venue Conference Room 322, North Building
  • Abstract

Recently, researchers in high-energy and condensed matter physics have been investigating physics in the systems described by two-dimensional conformal field theories (2d CFTs) on the curved background. We have been investigating how the curved background influences non-equilibrium phenomena. In this talk, I will mainly report on how the curved background influences the subsystem thermalization. If possible, I will report on our other recent progress as well.

    Biography

Masahiro Nozaki is an assistant professor at KITS, UCAS. He got a Ph.D. at the Yukawa Institute for Theoretical Physics, Kyoto University. His supervisor is Professor Tadashi Takayanagi. After obtaining the PH.D., he was working at the Kadanoff Center for Theoretical Physics as a Kadanoff fellow. Then, he was working at the Riken Center for Interdisciplinary Theoretical and Mathematical Sciences as a Special Postdoctoral Researcher. Subsequently, from 2022, he joined KITS, UCAS as an assistant professor.
