  • Abstract

We review recent developments in our understanding of quantum chaos and its applications to holography. First we introduce a definition of quantum chaos based on free probability theory which naturally incorporates out-of-time-order correlators. Then we review how these correlators can be computed in holography and the lessons we can extract from them to better understanding the inner-working mechanisms of AdS/CFT.

    Biography

Viktor Jahnke completed his PhD at Sao Paulo University in 2016 in the topic of AdS/CFT correspondence and the quark gluon plasma. He did his first postdoc at Mexico National Autonomous University between 2016 and 2018. Since 2018 he works as a postdoctoral researcher at Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology doing research about quantum chaos in quantum many body systems and AdS/CFT.
