  • Abstract
The breaking of spin symmetry (SS) in the single-particle (s.p.) levels of atomic nuclei, i.e., the quasidegeneracy between two s.p. states with quantum numbers (n,l,j=l-1/2) and (n,l,j=l+1/2), is of great importance to nuclear structure. The study of SS in hyperonic s.p. levels of hypernuclei is also an interesting topic that may help us further understand the hypernuclear structure and hyperon-nucleon interaction. In this talk, the realizations of spin symmetry in theΛhyperon spectra of hypernuclei ranging from light to heavy masses are discussed in the framework of the deformed Skyrme-Hartree-Fock approach. The effect of deformation on spin symmetry and its interplay with the required spin-orbit force is studied in detail. It is found that the spin symmetry prevails due to a small spin-orbit force. Moreover, for spin doublets with the same principal quantum number n, the reduced spin-orbit splitting ΔEs.o. shows a good linear relation with respect to the quantum number l, even for a largeΛN spin-orbit strength.
