  • Abstract
In the traditional theory of gravity, matter and spacetime are two different fundamental objects: matter moves in (flat or curved) spacetime, and also curves spacetime. Therefore, in classical gravity, Wheeler said that "Spacetime tells matter how to move and matter tells spacetime how to curve". In this paper entitled "Quantum Spacetime (I) - Unification of Matter and Spacetime", we found that the elementary particles constitute the basic blocks of spacetime, and the spacetime is really a multi-particle system and made of matter elementary particles. This is a very surprising conclusion, which shows that the unification of matter and spacetime, may have a profound impact on fundamental physics. Moreover, elementary particles (for example electrons) have a fixed size (4.1 × 10-97cm3)rather than infinitely small points. Therefore, we say that in "Spacetime tells matter how to move and matter tells spacetime how to organize".
