  • Abstract
    Models of single-field inflation which include non-attractor phases of evolution can amplify the spectrum of curvature perturbations at a level sufficient for producing  primordial black holes. We point out universal features of these models with respect to the frequency profile of the curvature spectrum, and the statistics of the corresponding higher order correlation functions. We then discuss  a method for testing such universal features by cross-correlating CMB mu-distortions with  CMB temperature fluctuations. This approach would allow us to probe  distinctive properties of inflationary PBH scenarios  using well-understood CMB physics.
