November 21-23, 2008, the fourth IAC (International Advisory Committee) meeting of Institute of Theoretical Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, has convened in Beijing. The honorary Chairman of China Association for Science and Technology Mr. Zhou Guangzhao, chairman of the IAC, one of the winners of the Nobel Prize of Physics in 2004, Mr. David Gross, the former president of the French Academy of Sciences, Mr. Edouard Brezin and Prof. Yue-Liang Wu, Prof.Ou-Yang Zhong-Can, Prof. Peter Zoller，Prof. Henry Tye, Prof. Terence Hwa attended the meeting, together discussing the research development of ITP. During the meeting, the Vice Minister of the Ministry of Science and Technology ,Cao Jianlin had cordial talks with the experts, and ZHAN Wen-Long, the vice president of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, also found time to participate, fully expressing their attention and to the development of theoretical physics.
